BUILD UP COLOR:   The season we wanted to intensify color in a way that wasn't monochromatic, which suddenly looked a little heavy and matronly. we love the idea of layering tone-not clashing but complementary shades within the same family. the effect is rich and more complex while still appearing light. we did red, scarlet and burgundy; orange, rust and mustard;  and blue, green and mint. we even did gray, khaki and black!!
